El gran problema de sacar tantos juegos al año, es darles servicio todos los días, es por eso que Electronic Arts anuncio que estará quitando algunos servicios en línea de casi 30 juegos. Muchos de ellos son juegos de deportes como FIFA, Fight Night y NBA Live y algunos Lord of the Rings por mencionar algunos. Por ejemplo, los juegos de deportes sólo representaban 1% de los servicios en línea que ofrece EA. No hay pérdidas importantes.

Ante la difícil decisión de terminar con el servicio en línea de más de 30 juegos, Electronic Arts comentó lo siguiente: “Los juegos de EA SPORTS están programados para cierre en Febrero y Marzo del 2011, estos representan apenas el 1% de todos los jugadores en línea que tienen acceso a títulos de EA. A pesar de la percepción de algunas personas, hay un buen de trabajo detrás de estos viejos títulos.”
