Oficialmente ha dado inicio la temporada de galardones a lo mejor del 2016. El día de hoy se han dado a conocer a los ganadores de los Golden Joystick Awards, premiación en la cual figuran grandes títulos de la talla de Dark Souls III, Pokémon Go, Uncharted 4, Overwatch, entre otros.
De entre los ganadores de los premios destacan algunos juegos como Overwatch, Pokémon Go y The Witcher 3, los cuales obtuvieron varios premios de entre las diferentes ternas en las que estuvieron nominados. De ellos Overwatch se alzó como el ganador máximo al conseguir cinco premios en total. Sin embargo y para su desgracia, el galardón a juego del año se lo llevó Dark Souls III.
